The New Mexico Board of Nursing is a state agency, whose purpose is to protect the citizens of the State of New Mexico by licensing Nurses and Lactation Care Providers; certifying Hemodialysis Technicians and Medication Aides; regulating education programs for licensees and certificate holders; regulating practice; taking complaints and disciplining licensees and certificate holders who violate the law and rules.

8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday, MST
Office closed for lunch noon to 1PM.
Office close on Federal holidays.

Board Members
A seven-member board appointed by the Governor, the New Mexico Board of Nursing consists of four licensed nurses and three public members. Its meetings are open to the public; agendas are posted on the Board’s website.
